Decorating makes memories. Decorating brings warmth to the home during the holidays. Decorating points people to the things that are most important to you. Decorating shows people your style.
Decorating can be simple or elaborate. Either way, decorating brightens the Christmas season. Here’s a pro tip: If you live in a neighborhood, remember to abide by your HOA covenants with your outside decorating (think: Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation)!
For Christians, at the center of Christmas is a celebration of the birth of the Savior, Jesus. The lights of Christmas remind us of the glory of God displayed as the angels appeared in the sky to announce Jesus’ birth to the shepherds and the star that appeared in the sky to lead the wise men to the birth of the King of Kings. Decorating can point people to Jesus.
Happy decorating!
