Of course, let’s keep it all in perspective. Football is not everything. Jesus is. Football is temporary. Jesus is eternal. Let’s have fun cheering for our teams, but let’s keep it in perspective. Don’t let sports become an idol in your life.
Exodus 20:3-6

When I first saw this post, I said silently to myself, “Football???” Then I read further, and as Mr. Gomez said, the opening was an attention getter. Although I am not a sports fan of any sort, I kept reading to see where you were going with that. 🙂
Many times my posts have a spiritual connection, but the sports talk posts and driving tips posts don’t always. This one does for sure. In our sports-crazed culture, we who enjoy sports have to remember to keep everything in perspective, and to keep our eyes focused on the main thing, Jesus.
