Pastor Kev’s Farewell Message

On Sunday, October 22, 2017 Pastor Kevin Miller preached his final message as senior pastor of Hebron Church. Here are the Scriptures that he shared with us on that day.

Hebrews 13:8
8  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Matthew 24:35
35  Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Luke 9:23
23 Then he said to them all, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, 2  keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2 Corinthians 12:9
9  But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.

1 John 1:9
9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Isaiah 55:8-9
8  “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.” This is the LORD’s declaration. 9 “For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Proverbs 3:5-7
5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7  Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

Philippians 4:4-8
4  Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5  Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6  Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy — dwell on these things.

Psalm 103:1-3
1  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! 2  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3  who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases.

Matthew 13:24-30
24  Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25  But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26  But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. 27  The servants of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28  And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ 29  But he said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30  ‘Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘”

1 John 5:13
13  I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

We are grateful to God for Kevin and Darla Miller. May the Lord continue to bless them as they follow him to the next place of ministry he has for them, Eagle Ranch in Flowery Branch, GA.

And may the Lord continue to bless Hebron Church as we give our lives to lead people to life-changing faith in Jesus.
