The Bible says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). Christian men need other men who will encourage, challenge and pray for them and with them. Men need other men with which they can be real, transparent and authentic.
A few months ago, our family stepped out in faith not knowing what God’s next would be for us. The Bible says, “A person’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). We tethered our hearts to the Lord, trusting him to lead and guide every step of the way. And although we don’t know all of the plans he has for us in the future, we know that he has opened a door for me to serve as a Facilitator with Iron Forums.
What is Iron Forums? you may ask.
Iron Forums is an entrepreneurial experience that spiritually impacts the man, the business, the family and the community.
The Iron Forums Mission:
Iron Forums is a monthly event where business owners meet to accomplish three objectives:
- Grow in their intimacy with Christ.
- Focus on building strong marriages and families, and be the spiritual leader of their family.
- Sharpen their leadership and management skills to operate sound businesses through biblical best practices.
We do this by sharing a monthly “Snapshot.” This represents our lives; allowing each man to be heard, and to receive feedback in specific areas of business and family — ALL with Christ at the center.
Did we mention FOOD!!!? When men get together, we have good food: bacon, eggs and other great options on the breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet, and water, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day. Your taste buds will thank you.
