Mini Fall Festivals were a hit!

Last Thursday, many families from our church held Mini Fall Festivals in their neighborhoods. (If you’re wondering what they were, see this post.)

Here are some quotes we heard about them:Fall1

“The kids loved it!”

“Mom, pleeeassse… I don’t want to leave!”

“We did a hayride through our neighborhood. We gave about 100 kids along with parents a ride through our subdivision. It was overwhelmingly successful.”

“What a great idea!”

“We handed out bags of candy with an invite card attached to them. We met a lot of new people.”

FFcard“Wow. What a great thing to have for the kids to participate in. No one else is doing this sort of thing.”

“We took a hay ride through our neighborhood, pulled behind a tractor driven by one of the dads. We kept picking up kids and meeting new people all throughout the neighborhood. It was a lot of fun.”

“The kids at our house had a blast playing the games before they got their candy. And it gave us a great chance to have a quick conversation with their parents too.”

“We met some neighbors and scheduled an evening for dinner together.”

“Great time!!”Fall2

“Some neighbors came over for coffee and desserts. We all had a great time getting to know each other better. And the coffee and desserts were goooood.”

“Even though our neighborhood is small, it gave us a great chance to hang out with our neighbors and meet some new friends.”

“Let’s do it again next year. I’ve got some ideas how to make it even better.”

As you can see from the pictures and the comments, the Mini Fall Festivals were a huge hit. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses this simple idea to build relationships, to show people how much God loves them, to advance the gospel, and to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ.
